Greetings! I'm Mrs. Carroll, a proud Texan with a passion for design that has been with me since my early years. My journey into graphic design sparked during my middle school days, a time when the internet wasn't as easily accessible as it is today. Alongside graphic design, I developed a deep appreciation for film photography, a passion I still cherish, exploring both digital and film formats.
My academic journey led me to graduate Magna Cum Laude from The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a BFA in Fine Art, majoring in graphic design. Beginning as an intern at Salado Glassworks, I delved into creating designs for various mediums like stickers, t-shirts, print ads, and even a prominent billboard visible off IH 35 between Salado and Belton. This experience paved the way for a full-time role as a product photographer and graphic designer in an e-commerce company specializing in Gemstones.
Driven by a desire to work with children, I pursued an alternative teaching certification. My teaching career began at Hopewell Middle School, where I taught Technology Applications I and TV/Video Production.
Beyond my professional life, I find joy in crafting jewelry with natural gemstones, good-looking fonts, graphic design, watching documentaries, Godzilla films, photography, attending concerts/listening to music, gardening and adventuring in state parks with my husband and our three children; Gunnar (11), Kataleia (Leia, 10), and Lorraine (Rainey, 2). My husband and I enjoy watching Football; We are Bills and Bears fans!
In our household, we are accompanied by two dogs and a cat. Firstly, there's Cheddar, a Lab Great Pyrenees mix who believes she is a small dog. Secondly, we have Pumpkin, a chihuahua mix who thinks she is a big dog. Lastly, we can't forget about Gojira, my beloved tabby cat who holds a special place in my heart.
My goal as an educator is to inspire your children to embrace technology and nurture their creative thinking skills.
